Yes! John Piper is doing well after his surgery!
Yeah, I know, everyone else already knows. I don’t care. I just have to repeat the news. John has been such an inspiration to me with how he’s been handling it. How many people do you know would say something like this:
This news has, of course, been good for me. The most dangerous thing in the world is the sin of self-reliance and the stupor of worldliness. The news of cancer has a wonderfully blasting effect on both. I thank God for that. The times with Christ in these days have been unusually sweet.
If you found out you had cancer, would this be your response? Honestly, I don’t that it would be mine. At least not yet.
