The Body is Infected
The more I learn from my Bible, the more I see the true, complete gospel message being watered down and distorted throughout the church. Not only that, but congregations and even entire donominations are seeking and embracing heretical doctrines and practices.
Nowadays, its rare to hear that we are all sinful creatures who deserve nothing but eternity in hell, and that Christ paid the price for our sin and He alone offers the one way out of that eventuality.
Instead, we are told God is a God of love; God’s justice is pushed aside. We are told Christ’s primary mission is social justice; our need for the salvation He offers is left unsaid. The message is sanitized, so we don’t offend the visitor sitting in the back row. As long as we sincerely believe in whatever spiritual path we choose to follow, our sincerity will somehow appease God long enough for us to sneak through the pearly gates.
This spiritual deception is nothing short of an infection in the Body of Christ. And the infection is spreading fast.
Some denominations and individual congregations seem to be more infected than others. The less the pastor preaches the Word, and the less the congregants read their Bibles, the easier it is for the infection to take hold and eventually destroy the congregation.
As more and more congregations become infected, it will become increasingly difficult to find a congregation with truly solid Biblical teaching.
