The 100-Minute Bible was released by the 100-Minute Press in Britain yesterday. The book was written by retired Anglican priest Rev. Michael Hinton. Most news reports report that the book is for those who want to know more about Christianity but don’t have the time to read the Bible.
I understand the point that the 100-Minute Bible could be used to introduce Christianity to those not too familiar with it. So why do I have the uneasy feeling congregations will soon start using it in their adult Bible studies, because people just don’t have the time to study the complete text?
